“A terceira margem do rio”: Semiótica e poética em Guimarães Rosa

This paper will analyse some expressive procedures that would shape the poetic in the short story “A terceira margem do rio” [The third bank of the river], by Brazilian writer Guimarães Rosa. For that reason, we used discourse semiotics, a theory according to which the poetic in a text can be found when the categories of the expression plane become homologous to the content plane, taking the message to a higher degree of charm and effectiveness.Neste trabalho, analisam-se alguns procedimentos expressivos que configurariam a poeticidade no conto “A terceira margem do rio”, do escritor brasileiro Guimarães Rosa. Para tanto, recorre-se ao instrumental da semiótica discursiva, teoria segundo a qual a poeticidade pode ser encontrada em um texto quando categorias do plano da expressão tornam-se homologáveis às do plano do conteúdo, levando a mensagem a obter maior grau de encanto e eficácia
